Record number of LST ladies at Flora Light Challenge for Women 2003

A team of 40 Ladies took part in the Flora Light Women’s Challenge marathon on behalf of the Lowe Syndrome Trust on Sunday 14th September in Hyde Park London.  The day was a fantastic success with over 25,000 women running for different charities. The LST runners also appeared on UK Television on ITV Grandstand news coverage of the event.

The Trust is still counting the sponsorship money raised, but already the amount is an amazing £3,600. One Team from 77 wine bar lead by Dolly (21011 in center of picture - see previous 77 wine bar events) raised £1,200.

The 5km run is for runners of all abilities, with top class elite runners and a number of the UK’s top clubEmma, Dolly and Zoe from 77 Wine Bar raised £1200 athletes heading up the field.

The team from the Lowe Syndrome Trust ran alongside an impressive list of celebrities that included top Model,  Neil McAndrew, TV Presenter Gaby Roslin, Penny Mallory and a host of TV Soap Stars.

GMTV, Health and Fitness guru, Mr Motivator was back to warm up the crowds in Hyde Park,  getting them ready for the start line and Capital Radio DJ’s were  also  on hand to pump out the summer sounds.
