Opened in 1982, 77 Wine Bar in Mill Lane, West Hampstead was one of the first wine bars in London and has become a local institution and favorite gathering place of  members of the local rugby and hockey teams. 

To celebrate the occasion, parties were held over 16th, 17th and 18th May commencing with a Champagne & Black Tie evening on Thursday, 1980's fancy dress on Friday with live music from "the Old Neurotics" and house wine at 1980's prices, finishing with a saturday Sports Night with Live Music, a Charity auction , raffle and Hahn Beer and the famous 77 burger at 1980 prices.     

One of the hotly bid auction items among the ladies was a night out with wine bar owners David and Tessa (pictured), who are still "unattached". Other items  included signed team Chelsea ad West Ham shirts and a set of four  framed signed photos of  David Beckham, Jamie  Redknapp,Dwight Yorke, and Michael Owen. Lorraine, Sten, Dolly, Seville and Carolyn
