 FunRun for Women Sept 4th Hyde Park 2005

Over 25 runners gathered in Hyde Park and ran 5km on the hottest September day to fundraise for the Lowe Syndrome Charity. Everyone  enjoyed a picnic afterwards with champagne and strawberrys (donated by Sainsbury Golders Green -  many thanks also for the taxi service provided by Addission Lee and the most helpful and patient driver (Paul). 

At the picnic we were joined by Skateboarder Dave Cornthwaite who is attempting a world skateboarding record by crossing Austrailia. Dave announced that as a warm up he is about skateboard from Lands End to John O'groats. 

Dave also added that "on Saturday 10th September (this coming Saturday) at the Sandbar on St Helens Rd, Swansea, the BoardFree project will be officially launched. From 8-11 we'll have a good variety of chilled out music, a raffle and also BoardFree tees and wristbands will be on sale".

Many thanks to all who attended and supported the event and we hope you enjoyed the event, despite some runners being video'd collapsing afterwards of dehydration with the heat (thought you were kidding) or being in the changing tent with the children.
